Easy Homemade Tomato Pasta sauce using Frozen Tomatoes

You can slow cook this or do it on the stove top - I use my instant pot because I don’t have to babysit it and it keeps the sauce warm.

I can have a delicious pasta dish on the table in under 30 mins by just adding some of our Hot Italian sausage that I take out of the skins and brown in a skillet.

Ingredients

  • 1.5lb frozen tomatoes

  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (not garlic salt)

  • 1 tablespoon onion flakes

  • 1 tablespoon dried basil

  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper - I use white pepper but you can use black pepper

Directions

  1. Put everything in the instant pot

  2. Pressure cook for 10 mins.

  3. Let pressure release naturally

  4. Blitz with an immersion blender
